ETYMOLOGY: QUARTZ = comes from the Greek word "kristallos" meaning ice. And "Hard" in Slavic.

CRYSTAL SYSTEM: Trigonal.

PRINCIPLE OF FORMATION: Primary.

CLASS MINERAL: Oxides, quartz group.

HARDNESS: 7 on the Mohs scale.

MINERALOGY: The green quartz also known as Green Aventurine is compact whose green appearance is caused by platelet inclusions green fuchsite (chrome mica) is formed in magmatitas (Magma = mass of molten rock) sediments and crystalline slates. Rock of metamorphic origin of fine-grained, dark colored laminated structure.


MYTHOLOGY: Other names for green quartz is prase, which comes from the Greek prasos (leek), referring to its green color. He is known as 'talisman of luck' or 'stone of the players', being popular among gamblers and lovers of risk.


PROPERTIES: It is said to be a stone of wealth attracts wealth and good helps you organize your resources, provides mental and emotional stability.
