Channeling master quartz
MASTER QUARTZ CHANNELING
Are you looking for a piece that helps you find answers from your own inner wisdom?
This isn't just a quartz. It's a piece whose own irregular geometry seems to point towards something greater than ourselves.
🔍 How to recognise it
To identify a Master Quartz Channeling, look for this natural gesture in the stone:
- It shows a large seven-sided (heptagonal) face on its point.
- Right behind that larger face sits a smaller, three-sided face.
- The rest of the point keeps the quartz's usual faces.
- This 7+3 face combination is uncommon and easy to spot once identified.
- The two special faces are usually clearly different in size.
Unlike a quartz with the usual six-sided point, here the number of faces isn't regular: one has either split or merged differently, generating this specific combination of 7 and 3.
🌍 Mineralogical nature
What it actually is
The so-called "Master Quartz Channeling" isn't a distinct species: it's a quartz whose point developed an irregular number of faces during its growth, instead of the usual six symmetrical faces.
How it forms
In a typical quartz, the different faces of the point grow at a similar rate to one another, resulting in a termination with six regular faces. But that growth rate isn't always uniform.
When two adjacent faces grow at different speeds, one may end up merging with its neighbour or, conversely, splitting into two, altering the total number of visible faces on the point. In this specific case, the result is a large seven-sided face accompanied by a smaller three-sided one.
- Uneven growth between the faces of the crystal's termination.
- Merging or splitting of adjacent faces during development.
- Final result: an irregular combination of 7 and 3 faces on the point.
In crystallographic terms, it's a natural and uncommon variation of typical quartz growth: a geometric exception to the general rule of six faces.
🧠 Psychological approach
On a mental level, this irregularity acts as a reminder that answers don't always arrive by the expected path. It helps the brain open up to less conventional sources of wisdom, including one's own intuition.
🕰 When it can be useful
- When you're looking for answers from your own inner wisdom.
- When you need more clarity and intuition for a decision.
- When you're looking to feel more connected to something greater than yourself.
- When you want to strengthen your ability to focus.
👉 It's valuable when you need to remember: "the answers I'm looking for are already, in part, within me".
🧘 How to work with it
- Hold it with the seven-sided face turned towards you during meditation.
- Look at both faces as a focal point before making a decision.
- Keep it close during moments of inner searching.
👉 A key gesture: Locate the large seven-sided face first, then the small three-sided one behind it. Finding them is itself an exercise in mindful attention.
