MINERALOGY: The magnesite has primarily sedimentary origin from the weathering of rocks containing magnesium, forming aggregates granudos like calcite.


MYTHOLOGY: The magnesite was discovered in the eighth century, designating the beginning and "land of pure talc" for chemically not yet known containing magnesium. With the identification of magnesium magnesite started to call, it is also known by the common name "sea foam" and a variety of white sepiolite.
