ETYMOLOGY: Muscovy (Russia) where it was used instead of glass, known as "glass of Muscovy".

HARDNESS: 2 - 2.5 on the Mohs scale.

MINERALOGY: A mineral group of silicates, phyllosilicates subgroup within and belongs to the aluminous micas. Chemically it is a potassium aluminosilicate and aluminum, which can lead magnesium, chromium and a variety of other elements in its many varieties. It is the most common species of the mica group, is known as white mica or potassium mica by the silvery sheen and nacarado. The Muscovite is primary mineral component of many igneous rocks of acid type. Larger crystals appear in pegmatites, also in metamorphic rocks.
MYTHOLOGY: When Muscovite is microscopic in size s known by the name of sericite, it was placed in 1850 by Muscovy name, old name of a Russian province, where large crystals of this mineral were used as a substitute for glass in windows who they were called "crystal Muscovy". A synonym in Spanish used is Antonita.
PROPERTIES: It is said that Muscovite provides protection, helps to act decisively and quiet in case of problems, provocations, intrigues and attacks, it helps to see things clearly and remain indifferent, encourages acceptance and unconditional love, It allows recognition of our faults, scattered insecurity and self doubt.
