Bull's eye is a variety of quartz that often contains inclusions of fibrous minerals, such as crocidolite, giving it a unique eye-shaped appearance. This fibrous inclusion, also known as "cat's eye" in gemology, creates an optical phenomenon called chatoyancy, which manifests as a luminous fringe that moves across the surface of the mineral when it is rotated.
